The last day of swimming this summer in all Tulsa Parks pools will be Saturday, Aug. 6. After the pools close for people, dogs will get their chance to swim at the annual K-9 Splash at McClure Pool, 7440 E. 7th St. on Sunday, Aug. 7.
Two swimming sessions will be held during the event. Session I will be from Noon to 1:30 p.m., and Session II will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Four people can get in free with each dog, with a limit of three dogs per family.
All dogs participating in K-9 Splash must have current shots, not be “in heat,” and be on a leash when entering or leaving the pool area. Lifeguards will be on duty.
Tickets are $10 for each dog and must be purchased before the event at Centennial Center at Veterans Park, 1028 E. 6th St.
