Renters, tenants and small businesses can be better prepared to survive a disruption or a major disaster by learning to become more resilient.

The Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity is charged with creating a program that educates small businesses and others to build back better, create contingencies or prevent disasters. Two days of free workshops will be held for the public to provide education on many practical steps that can be taken to protect people, property and operations after a disruption. In addition to businesses, the workshops are designed to prepare homeowners and renters with ways to protect family, home and finances from everyday risks and major disasters.

These free workshops are offered in partnership with the City of Tulsa Working in Neighborhoods Department and SBP, (formerly St. Bernard’s Project) a non-profit dedicated to assisting businesses and homeowners prepare for disaster through training and shared resources and to making informed decisions post-disaster that will help in recovery.
