South Lewis Construction Moves South to Intersection of East 15th, Lewis Avenue

August 10, 2018 - Street rehabilitation on South Lewis Avenue has moved south this week to the intersection of South Lewis Avenue and East 15^th Street. Traffic is limited to one lane in each direction, and “No Left Turn” signs have been posted on all legs of the intersection.

Completion of construction at 15^th and Lewis is scheduled for the end of October. Work will then move south to between 15^th and 21^st streets. This construction is part of a street rehabilitation project on South Lewis Avenue between East 11^th Street and East 21^st Street, scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.

The project includes new waterline, repaving, replacing some sidewalks, and rebuilding the 15^th Street intersection with concrete. The City of Tulsa has contracted with Tri-Star Construction for this $4,777,787 project funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax (Fix Our Streets).
