Tulsa Animal Welfare (TAW) is hosting a K9 Cookout and Pet Adoption event on Saturday, June 8, at the shelter located at 3031 N. Erie, Tulsa, OK. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and find their new furry friend and enjoy a day filled with family-friendly fun.
This free event will feature opportunities to meet and greet a variety of shelter dogs throughout the day. Visitors can also sign up to volunteer at TAW and learn about opportunities like the shelter pet foster program. Additionally, the event will feature free food (while supplies last), yard games, and other activities.
"We are excited to kick off the summer with this special event that brings together pets in need of loving homes and the community," Sherri Carrier, Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter Manager, said. "The K9 Cookout will be a fun-filled day for all animal lovers."
This event is a great opportunity for individuals and families looking to add a new pet to their lives, as well as for those interested in supporting the important work of Tulsa Animal Welfare through volunteering or fostering.
All adoption fees are currently waived. Those fees include the adoption itself, spay/neuter services, microchipping, and a one-year pet license with the city.
