Tulsa Parks has launched a State of Play Youth Survey to better understand current recreation sports participation and interests to help plan and provide better recreation sports programs that help improve opportunity and experiences for all.

Results will allow Tulsa Parks to identify and learn more about any potential barriers for students and/or families to participation in recreation sports and play.

The survey, which has been launched in coordination with National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) and the Aspen Institute Project Play, can be taken online. The survey runs through Saturday, April 30.

Tulsa Parks aims to use this survey to reach young people ages 8-18 to learn more about:

In partnership with Tulsa Public Schools (TPS), nearly 50 yard signs with information about the survey and a QR code have been placed at school playgrounds that are near a park, and nearly 100 signs have been placed at City parks with a playground or other sports court amenities.

A survey flyer is also being sent to TPS parents via PeachJar and contacting TPS athletic staff about opportunities and ways to provide this survey to their students and families.
