Volunteers Needed at Tulsa Animal Welfare

City of Tulsa Animal Welfare needs volunteers to get involved in the care of thousands of homeless dogs, cats, and other animals.
One way interested volunteers can get involved is by visiting Tulsa SPCA, 2910 Mohawk Blvd., on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. for a Volunteer Fair event. Tulsa Animal Welfare staff will be present to answer questions and connect prospective volunteers with opportunities.
Objective of the Volunteer Program
- Offer support to the programs and services provided by Tulsa Animal Welfare
- Aid in educating the citizens of Tulsa about humane and lawful treatment of animals
- Enhance the human and animal bond through customer service and public relation efforts
How to Become a Volunteer
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Those between the ages of 13-17 must have signed parental consent and be accompanied by an adult.
- Volunteers must register online using the Volunteer Sign-in portal. The registration section will be found on the bottom of that page.
- Volunteers must attend and successfully complete mandatory Volunteer Orientation and site tour.
- Volunteers must successfully pass reference and background check processes.
- Volunteers should be aware that certain volunteer positions require additional training.
